With the current focus on environmental issues and the need to conserve natural resources, sustainability in construction is becoming more and more important.

The Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments provides a comprehensive measure of the sustainability of new homes, ensuring that they deliver real improvements in the following key areas:

             Energy and CO2 emissions

             Water Usage

             Building Materials

             Surface Water Run-off

             Waste

             Pollution

             Health & Wellbeing

             Management

             Ecology

The above issues are assessed to provide a Star Rating for the building, from 0 to 6 stars. The higher the rating the greater the improvement over standard Building Regulation requirements

A zero rating indicates that a code assessment has not been carried out on the property, whereas a six star rating shows the building to be carbon neutral.

All new Social Housing dwellings must achieve a minimum 3 star rating against the Code in order to attract funding.

Campagna have professional surveyors trained in providing Assessments against the Code and their experience as Building Surveyors means that they really understand how buildings work, enabling advice to be given which will provide the most cost effective route to compliance with the standards contained within the Code.
